If you do get to do them with a real helicopter dont reach up to grab the strop, theres going to be an earth line on the hook thats much better to dunk in the sea first. Although its more common to send down an airman to coordinate everything.

Good point. That is more often the case, but not the rule. Without an earthing line, simply allow the strop to touch the deck and then approach and don it. Otherwise some vessels may carry earthing poles.
