    Looks lucky to still be afloat! On first glance you'd presume the warship was the give way vessel based on the damage but will be interesting to see what actually happened...

    Yeah, nothing seems to make sense at the moment, lots of random information online based on 'scanty information'. Oh well.

      Wouldn't be surprised if the USN don't actually come forward with what happened.

        It is quite worrying that a US Navy warship could 'allow' itself to be hit... I thought they were supposed to be all super alert and ready for battle, destroy any threats and zoom off at flank kind of operations?

          I'd be very surprised. Freedom of Information means a bit more over there. You can find reports online for the MCM that tore its arse out on a Filipino reef a few years ago and the USS Hartford that rammed the USS New Orleans whilst submerged in the Persian Gulf in 2009.
