  • PD marine engineering

    Hi I,

First post just looking for a bit of info if anyone can provide some.

I have been accepted for the PD marine engineering course starting august 19th but have received no word back in terms of sponsorship or accommodation etc.

Just wondering if anyones got the same thing with this course and if theyve heard back?

    Cheers
    Nick

    Trust me I'm a Chief.

Views expressed by me are mine and mine alone.
Yes I work for the big blue canoe company.
No I do not report things from here to them as they are quite able to come and read this stuff for themselves.

Haha yeah i did think that after I posted it d'oh! Yeah its at Glasgow College and with CMT but not heard about sponsoring companies/accomodation etc. I did phone up a couple of weeks ago and they confirmed the start date was 19th August but nothing more than that.

I would phone through again but dont want to come across too pushy so figured I'd give this a bash first.

      cheers

I'll be on your course! I'm also with CMT. I emailed and asked about sponsorship a few weeks ago and they told me if they offered a place then they have a sponsor so don't worry about that. They wouldn't tell me who the sponsor was but apparently this is their policy. I would chase them on the accommodation though. I'm staying at home, but some people I've spoken to on our course have had their accommodation arranged by their company already.

If you're with CMT then you need to sort your own accommodation out. Give the college a bell and ask to speak to Halls of Residence....
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

All posts here represent my own opinion and not that of my employer.
