Critical equipment is some sort of equipment that if it stops working could lead to a hazardous situation for example the main engine or steering gear etc. It is part of the ISM Code. Critical Equipment list can be found in the SMS i think

It is a part of the SMS but is individual to each vessel as there is also a critical spares inventory. Ask your chief engineer as they should be able to give you a copy...
