Yeah, they are dividers but they look more for engineering type things. You would move them in and out with the wheel so they are super accurate but take longer.

That's a compass. One side is a steel nib, the other is a pencil lead. Dividers have steel points on both sides. You will need a compass for chartwork, but I would also suggest CD's shop - he also sells a chartwork package with basically everything you need.

I am afraid they would rapidly destroy a chart, far too sharp. Normal brass dividers are more than sufficient.Comment
