Hi, thanks ! It's such a relief to pass ! Ah this was done at the Glasgow Marine office. I studied myself with lots of notes and help from an ex lecturer at Glasgow Nautical College. He left and started his own college called Glasgow Maritime Academy.

So did you do a cadetship at Glasgow Uni or was it all self study? Either way you now need to change your profile info to "CoC:OOW"!

I done my cadetship at Glasgow college of nautical studies. I left college nearly 18months ago, unfortunately I failed my orals because I just wasn't ready. The oral prep at the college isn't the best !. Everyone knew about it at the time but one of the best lecturers left the college and basically started his own college doing oral prep and short courses and things like that so I went to him. I postponed my orals for sometime due to family problems and alot of things going on and I needed to clear my head !. Haha so I do ha !

Fair play Preparation is the key and I agree completely that you can't do that well if your mind is on other things, well done for persevering though and getting there I hope you had a hangover this morning!?

You cannot prepare enough for an oral exam ! It's not like a written. If you say the wrong thing in your orals he will dig and dig and dig at you !. I know I was an absolute state when he told me I had passed !. Oh god mate I still have a horrific hangover ! Even bacon never cured it ! Back out tonight though !
