    Hi

    Can anybody please remind me about the above types of vessel movement (and any other unexpected "funky" movements that a ship can make). What they are, what causes them, how to get out of them.

    This was never explained very well at college

    To start backwards to get out of them course / speed changes as per the below guides

    (edit - watch video before reading circular, forgot how good that video was!)

    IMO circular 1228 has a bit about it:

      That video looks like a typical high swell entry into our port Chris...
