  • Engine Cadets

    Hi guys, and girls

I?m starting in September on the HND engine course and just wondering what people's backgrounds are... Mainly for the "Workshop" sections. I?m a time served mechanical maintenance fitter/welder working in heavy industry at the moment and have done two seasons working for a sailing company in the med fixing yachts. Be interesting to see what others have done and if there is any difference between the Fd peeps and the HND peeps

                        Re: Engine Cadets

I guess im probably a bit of an odd one out here! Im a graduate computer artist but a very mechanically minded and abled person. Coming from an engineering background I wanted to do something practical/mechanical after school but was advised at the time to go to university and do something academic. Though I was pretty good at it (I have a 1st Class Honours degree) my heart wasn't in it. After uni and some time travelling around South East Asia I decided I wanted to travel and do sometime in relation to engineering. BANG! And here I am!

I look forward to meeting you all!

a friend of mine came from being a sniper/ marksman in the the duke of lancaster's regiment to being a deck officer. dont know his reasons but he said he wanted to travel and being in the S**t holes of the world getting shot at wasnt for him after 5 tours.
                            Maybe I will never be
All the things that I want to be
But now is not the time to cry
Now's the time to find out why

it's a shame war isn't declared on a country with lovely beaches and all inclusive hotels...

Cuba might have a terrorism issue
