On Friday 25th June 2010, Warsash Maritime Academy is holding a small open day for those who are interested in a career in the Merchant Navy.
The day will be on a smaller scale than our Annual Open Day (21st January 2011) but will give an opportunity to speak with lecturers, visit and view our facilities and speak with cadets about the lifestyle.
The Open Day aims to give prospective officer cadets an insight into what a career in the shipping industry has to offer and the training necessary to become qualified as a ship's navigation or engineer officer.
A number of our training facilities will be open and visitors will be able to take part in demonstrations and exercises designed to give a flavour of life at sea.
If you would be interested in attending, please contact [email protected] to register your interest.
You must register for this event and let us know how many people you intend on bringing (i.e. parents, friends or teachers etc). The event is offered on a first come first served basis so get in touch soon.
