You do have a choice as to where to stay, if you are not happy with accommodation provided by solent university then you can rent locally.

And I see no difference to whether you live in ED, in WMA or in a rented house, you still attend all the same lectures and use the same facilities.

As accommodation goes its clean, tidy (depending on how you keep it) and comfortable. You have space to do you work and ample facilities on the main campus site. You may find the library at Solent to be much more helpful. Transport to WMA is easy with the dedicated bus and, to be honest, when your not studying there is so much more to do!

If you stay at ED you'll also have money on your card to use for lunch on campus. There seems to have been some space issues this year though, with some people not getting a space either on campus or at ED. It's pretty safe to say that you won't get a room on campus if you return in September, unless you're under 18 or female, so put an application in for ED or for peace of mind sort out something yourself or with friends.

What exactly are the rules on under 18's living off campus? As in the joining instructions I got it states:

"If students aged under 18 wish to live off campus after Phase 1, they will need to arrange their own accommodation privately that meets their own and their parent's specific requirements."

I presume this means if under 18 when returning in phase three, with written consent of our parent/guardian, you can live off campus.

If you're under 18, you will most likely be living at WMA.....and that's no hardship.
