  • Commuting between Cowes & Warsash

Hi, would really appreciate any input from Cadets with experience of travelling between Cowes Isle of Wight & WMA? (Red Jet).

    Thanks

Well, I'll be doing it from September. Basically I'll leave a motorbike in Town Quay and go that way as public transport is pretty poor to the campus. You'd be better off staying in halls during your first phase anyhow.

      Transport Cowes to Warsash

      Hi,
?18.00 quid each way by Taxi from Red-Jet Terminal to Warsash.
Going to look at cost and timings of train Soton to Swanwick using free bus link from Red-Jet to Southampton Central, also check if getting a student pass is a good saving, that is if they accept it. Don't plan to be skipping home every weekend anyway. at least not during Phase 1 but nice to know the options.

Bus from Warsash Clock Tower -> West Quay is ?3.50 (or there abouts). There is also (or was - I assume there still is) a free bus run between Warsash campus and Solent Universities main campus 3 times a day (early morning, mid day and evening).

You could always hire one of the sail boats from the water sports centre and sail yourself across for the weekend.
?Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn?t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.?

Steamer, just found this link Re Warsash Clock Tower on! Bus Links to Red-Jet from West Quay or Soton Central not too shabby but have yet to check out cost. Service 72.

Hey I used to go home some weekends last phase and it was just effort unless you had a car or bike, best thing to do is get a mate with a rib to buzz over and get you from WMA
