  • Rooms [With Pics]

    Hi all,
Just wondering weather your company chose if you have a single or double room or is it up to your preference, also how big are the rooms both single and sharing.
    Thanks,
    James

    Re: Rooms

Phase 1 you will almost 100% be sharing - it's not that bad at all.

Room size varies. Single rooms are generally quite small but the shared rooms go from small to ridiculously big.

        Re: Rooms

All depends on your ship and company, I had my own rooms for my 2 vessels in phase 2, both modest in size with there own bathroom, I've heard evergreen have quite good cabins as well!

I think we're talkin' 'bout college rooms, rather than cabins in ships?
Sharing a decrepid soviet style asylum cell is all part of the fun.
Precious few get single rooms... they go to higher phase and shorter course people... or the occasional blagger who is slightly older than the majority of cadets. It'll rapidly become the least of your worries... sharing rooms means you mix with others more, which is better really, for all sorts of reasons.

Besides, if your in Shackleton you get to share a bathroom / showers with 10 others in your section! Luckily I was always up very early so didn't have the queuing issues!

              Re: Rooms

Everyone gets into a routine, so now we all get up at slightly different times so no need to queue for the shower!

Having a new carpet is a luxury, apparently it had so much sick and the smell of weed ingrained in it they thought best to change it!

Bunk beds are solid enough if a little on the small side im not huge and I keep smacking my arms legs on the sides. I know of a few guys who dont actually fit in the bunks their feet hang off the end. If your much over 6 foot you might have problems.
