anyone know whats its like . is it lively ?
I'm from blackpool so spoilt for choice when it comes to bars and clubs. is there any good decent rock/indie/drum and bass clubs around ? i know sheilds is famous for chavs i dont mind abit of donk in a club not chart garbage though . are there student nights too ? on thursdays and sundays ? ?1.50 drinks ?1 shots sort of deals ?

It is a bit like flares but smaller. Some good pubs in shields but to be honest the nightlife isn't too good. Your better going to Newcastle. Student night in Sunderland is Monday and its ?1.50 for a vodka and lime and its a good busy night(i think its a couple of quid each in the taxi from the halls). On a Thursday 'The Hancock' in Newcastle is ok, take you student card and buy a 'yellow card' for ?1. Drinks start at a quid, pints of strongbow and fosters are about ?1.25. We usually got the metro from shields around 7 and last metro back to shields at 11.30 (costs ?2.60 return).
In Shields if your after rock then Annie's / Trocaderos are the best/only places.

matchdays in newcastle is lively. has great atmoshpere get a newcastle season ticket

ah so the mighty pool will be playing you again this year lets hope the scores are better for us this year not worth the trip to toon for the spanking we got

ahh yess :P im going to miss the end of the season because we'l be on our first sea phase. but i can sell my tickets.
