Anyone know what the college is like on uniform?

Are they strict or more relaxed?

You're expected to wear it and look smart. Black shoes and trousers, white shirt and company tie at the very least. If you can manage that you'll be fine.

Assuming the deck school is as strict as the engineers school at STC - you will be sent home and registered as not present in class if you don't wear minimum uniform.

As long as you don't show up in jeans and trainers I wouldn't worry to much

You have to remember that even though you're in college, you're a representative of your company. If you turn up looking as if you've been rolling around I'm the flower beds or you're in jeans, etc then they won't be happy....

Also, if you're going to visit your sponsor's office, that's your first impression to them of you so try to look professional.....

Only thing I have left to buy are shoes, so I was just wondering what type of black smart shoes have you guys bought to wear at college with our uniform?

I hope they are not too strict on the first day. My sponsor is ordering my uniform and getting it delivered to the college so I cant exactly wear it on the first day.
Ill be the numpty with just a shirt and trousers, so hopefully I don't get sent home before anything has started.

I was in habit of wearing my lowas most because weather always seemed to be **** and their more comfortable than trainers.

Is there a difference between the pilot shirts we need and the pilot shirts that are advertised as for airline pilots?

You only need pilot shirts for sea. Any shirt will do for college.

Is that for definite? SSTG say I need "3 x White shirts with epaulette flaps (short or long sleeves)".
