    Hello,

    What could be the approximate cost for appearing the Class 3 (3rd Mate) Examination in this college? Can anybody help pls?

    I'm not sure we'll be able to give you the best answer as we're mainly from the UK, so we only really know about the UK system.

    In the UK, an MCA oral exam costs ?201.

      It is not as simple as just taking the exam, you would need to complete your training in the UK before you could appear for a UK 3rd mate examination.
      Cruise ship Captain with experience on-board Passenger Vessels ranging from 5500-150000 GRT.

          Basically before you can go for the oral exam you would need to complete an approved course at a college who would then endorse your 'notice of eligibility' - as far as I am aware the only way to do this is attend a UK college on an approved course which for OOW level is a 2.5 year program.

          I am not sure which country you are from, but what most people would do it complete the training in their home country and gain their certificate and if they then required a UK COC they would apply for a Certificate of Equivalent Competency:

          Cruise ship Captain with experience on-board Passenger Vessels ranging from 5500-150000 GRT.
