  • Going out in Newcastle

A question people already attending, how much does it cost to get to and from Newcastle? obviously going out late evening coming back early morning..

I've seen alot of night clubs that look amazing in Newcastle but if the transport is too expensive for people to want to go it'll be a shame

One club called Liquid (looks banging) has Calvin Harris there in November and it's only a tenner a ticket

The 3 I've heard are really good are Liquid, Ohso, and Tup Tup Palace. Look sick! And if you give them a like on fbook you can get on the Q jump list and see promos and that.

Towns a good night out, you'll be expecting to pay about 25 quid in a taxi to get to town in a taxi, or you can use the good old metro for a couple of quid

yeah if your going out to newcastle for the night getting a taxi at ?25 between 4 of you aint going to be the expensive part
you can take it with a pinch of salt, but i prefer it with a nip of whisky

Town is expensive, but if you have the money and the guts it can be a marvellous night out! I live local and I always go to shields for a night out, its cheap and close, Sunderland is always an option to go to as well, its about ?17 from the college halls, depending on tariffs, if you want anymore info on any of the places, drop me a PM

As Jenn said the metro down and a taxi back is always the best option. Newcastle beats Sunderland hands down

yeah il always prefer newcastle to sunderland, and that has nothing to do with football newcastle is just generally a better night out, though I'm getting more and more fond of shields on a night out

Hi guys, Newcastle is definitely the way forward in terms on North East nightlife, being from the Patypool (Hartlepool) I have sampled most parts of the region. Got a few mates going to Newcastle and Northumbria Unis in September so I'm planning on doing some floor sleeping in their halls and houses. Whats the crack with leaving the halls at STC for just one night? I read somewhere that you need to check out for the weekend if you were stopping out?

The only time I ever signed out was when I was leaving to go home for a half-term. Stayed out on numerous occasions and it was never an issue.

Or talk nicely to a sober driver type person for a favour and pay them? like if a taxi is 25 quid then give this sober type driver person if they could get you and give them ?20 so ?5 each if theres 4 of you? just a thought!

If you manage to sneak past security, they do still enforce the 'no guests' rule quite quite strongly.
