  • Sailing in south tyneside?

After the thread about sailing at warsash was wondering if anyone knows of boat/ yacht clubs around STC that welcome either crew or as a possible place to hire boats -yachts?

I know theres the James Cook around there but shes a little big for just a day on the river
you can take it with a pinch of salt, but i prefer it with a nip of whisky

There is the south shields yacht club down by the hotel at the end of the beach (Little Haven hotel). Looked a bit cold for sailing when I took a look last Sept, they had dinghys and a bit bigger.

No i kinda gave up and bought a bike instead its very like sailing requires stupid clothes, you get cold and wet but it is much faster. that said if you go to the north side and visit the marina im sure you can find something. the big problem i found is its winter when im there so not much sailing going on.
