Travelling to fleetwood open day from glasgow

I am planning on travelling down to the open day in fleet wood next February and was wondering the fastest and cheapest way to travel there from glasgow. I was looking it up and it's six hours by coach and 27 pound one way. Is there any cheaper or quicker ways and does anyone no the prices.

Quicker way would be train to Preston from Glasgow and then train to blackpool and bus/tram to fleetwood

If you're travelling by train have a look on splitticketing.com if you don't mind having multiple bits of paper for the same journey. Doesn't always come out cheaper though its worth a shot
