Hi, I start at Fleetwood on the 4th of February and was wondering what there is to do there, I know I'll be working and revising and there isn't that much free time, but on the weekends you do get off what do people normally do? Also, is there a gym or area for bikes so I can stay in shape? Thanks.

Most weekends, Alex, the adventure based training officer runs canoeing/kayaking/sailing sessions at the marine lake. Weather dependent.
Wednesday and Thursday evenings you can swim/kayak in the pool onsite (depending upon availability). Also there is a chance to go skiing/snowboarding in Manchester with a few college staff once a week for six weeks. There's a fair bit to do, other than visit the local wildlife spots in Fleetwood...Comment

I think that that is a fair description of the pubs and clubs in the area. Keep your eye out for the hippocrocomoose. Common in clubs and bars but more difficult to see after a few pints!Originally posted by moose View Post

No, Riversdale College in Aigburth. Ocean Fleets had their training offices on the site as well. A place called Aulis. Thanks for replies. I live in shields and did the pre cadetship at stc and the best (and I suppose, the worst) things about stc is there's 7 different pubs within minutes of the college and the hair dressers and beuticians. Quite easy to get distracted
