    Helloooooo!

I am very excited to be starting with you fleetwood people in September!
Could anyone answer a couple of questions I have please?

    1. Is there Wi-Fi in the halls or ethernet cable (or even internet access at all?) - wondering whether I need to lug a PS3, as well as laptop and Ipad - would be nice to facetime some people back home everyone once in a while.

    2. Are the term dates while at college pretty much the same as other colleges, schools, and Uni's around the UK, I probably guess it is depending on what phase you are on, but say summer holidays, and autumn holidays, easter etc.

Thank You - also is anyone else a 16 year old starter for September?

Hi, I am currently in halls on Phase 1 and leaving next week for sea so should be able to help here.

    1) There will be wi-fi available to you in halls yes, but when it comes to PS3 and Xbox Live etc the internet does not support the online gaming side of things so you'll have to play with some others in halls so be sure to take a few controllers. Your laptop and Ipad should be plenty to keep you occupied and things like Skype have run fine for me however facetime can sometimes be a bit dodgy getting a connection.

    2) The term dates are completely different to any other colleges and uni's, Phase 1 will be 19 weeks and in my phase it was split into two separate terms of 9 and 10 weeks. You should be given a complete timetable of your course in the joining instructions when you get these closer to the date of starting. They try to give you time off over Easter and Summer, but this will only be a period of 2-3 weeks.

    Hope this helps!
