I've just found out that I will be studying engineering at Fleetwood this September.

Anyone else going Fleetwood for engineering?

I should be going to fleetwood in september for engineering providing I get the grades to the exams I'm doing now :O
There are a few more of us aswell, I'm sure they'll all pop up and say hello at some point

Provided my medical goes well (plan on taking it in the next two weeks) then I will definitely be starting as an Engineering FD Cadet at Fleetwood

Yeah, the induction was today kayak! Dartmouth is getting ever closer and the dreaded PT lol!

I will be there this September too, I have good news from their building works for the new workshops, they are done.
The engine simulation room should be done before the first sea phase.

And if you are thinking of applying for finace from student people.....hold fire mate. It - is - a mess. Because its a new course I applied too early basically and the course 'doesn't exist' in their eyes. The morons wont even ring the college to speak with them so I am forced to do student finance england admin work by sending a nice letter to the engineering tutor asking for the info, complicated.

I think doing the application by paper when we start is the best option.

Other than that I look forward to it.

I'll be at Fleetwood in September doing deck If you've been down to BRNC and done any of the water based stuff on a Tuesday or Saturday morning then you'll know there's a disabled sailing group which terrorizes the river! I help run that

Haha I see how it is... Let us know when you're down there and I'll make everyone sail at you, well the ones who can sail that is, some just enjoy a bob about on the river Was down there today and the navy lot were all going neatly up the river in convy tbh when you do come onto the river make the most of it, it's an amazing place. Can be challenging at times too the tides can be quite deceptive!

I only got to use a engine simulator once during my cadetship, and that was on an open day! The guys who ran it threw everything possible at me and another cadet, we just about kept the simulators lights on excluding a few blips!

If you could post some photos or information on the new fleetwood engineering facilities, I'm interested to hear what its like.
