Phase 2

In my joining instructions it says that my phase 2 is 43 weeks long, is this correct? Seems quite long.

Do you spend the whole of this time at sea?

or does it consist of sea time and leave?

If you're on leave do you get paid sea rates?

During half terms do you have to go home or can you stay at the college and what do you prefer to do? and why?

You wont spend every day at sea in your 2nd phase,usually your company will give you a week or so off but its entirely up to them, you could spent 3 months or 5 months
You'll get payed your wages throughout phase 2, for example CMT wages drop to 120 a week ( correct if im wrong )
And during half terms, well we dont really get them! easter is the only one im aware of.

I have nearly finished phase two and I spent 4months 16 days at sea out of seven and a half months off. our wages stayed the same ( bibbys ) and we even got an extra 4-600 dollars a month because of the minimum wage in australia!

I would imagine most stay with family or friends, unless they already own a property (for the mature students)
