If anyone could answer some of these questions it would be much appreciated:
What is the official rule on havign a fridge?
Do the rooms have a desk lamp or do I need to bring one?
Does the bed have space under it to slide boxes and misc stuff? ie. is it raised of the ground or is it a boxed type?
What is the rule on parking at the college? fees etc..?
    Thanks guys.

Differs from College to college, GCNS never went in your room so no bother. Just no Toasters in bedrooms (they set the fire alarm off!)
They should have a lamp of some description built into the wall.
My bed had no space for anything.
Parking permit was required but no charge was levied.
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

Fridges are acceptable, though if you're starting in the winter there's no great need for one, as everyone hangs milk etc out of their window in an asda bag. If I were you I'd wait til you get there and see if you can't get one second hand from someone who's moving out when the weather gets warmer.

Desk lamps are provided, there's space under the bed and you'll get a wardrobe and small chest of drawers too, parking at college is free.

It's much easier for students to play at making dust fly, pulling off skids and doughnuts

Hmmm, couldn't be doing with all the car-cleaning that'd be required afterwards!

They didnt allow cadets in Induction Phase to have cars on campus when I did Induction at Fleetwood in 98 however things change. As for Fridges, never saw anyone with a fridge, just hang it out the window, for ya beers we used the en suite facilities, well thats what we nicknamed the sink in the room, you could use it as a urinal when you couldnt get/be bothered to go to the toilet.. Also as a fridge if you put your beer in and kept the cold water running.. perfect.. Be sure not to mix the two though!!

There was space under the bed, but what the hell are you planning to take, a laptop, clothes, a phone charger and stationary as well as a few toiletrys and othher bits but there is a big space above the wardrobe for your suitcases.

Oh be careful not to leave out your toothbrush, put it away cos well, you will see....

If i was to bring a bike, would there be anywhere to keep it? If it was in my room, would it fit? and would i be tripping over it constantly?

There's places you can put them outside, it certainly wouldn't fit in your room though. I cycled in every day and just left it outside, round the back under an archway so it wouldn't get wet. Never locked it up either, but it is a bit of an ancient old thing!
