I am 24 and will be a deck cadet.

Only advice I can give is dress smart and try and make a good first impression. There is also a few threads on here that helped me with my interview so read through them

What advice can you give on the questions side of it?

I don't think we are meant to give interview specific details but I would say the main thing is go in knowing exactly what you are letting yourself in for and why you want to do it. What company is your interview with?

Ahh! It's with Clyde Marine, 2weeks tomorrow, so just gonna keep going over everything!

Yea that's the best think to do. I had an interview with them last year and everything they ask is in the stuff they send you so just keep going over it till you know as much as possible

Yeah just read through the pages with all the boat details and don't worry. I had mine a couple of weeks ago and it was great (for my first ever interview) and I passed so i'm sure you will do fine!

I'm starting with Bibby on 6th January (deck cadet - professional diploma) and been advised of 6th Jan - is this when everyone else starts? Just seen a few people on here saying engineers start on 6th and deck 2 weeks later?

I'm deck and so I've been told the 20th but that's a higher national certificate
