Does anyone know what days and times the gym and pool opens? Have looked on the college website but doesn't say much.

I believe it is free yeah. I have never used it. I always said I would but found it difficult to get into a routine with the workload that you have at college. Plus the sporadic opening hours didn't really suit me. Rubbish excuses I know. If I really wanted to go then I could've done, I'm basically just lazy haha. Used to go to the gym quite a lot. Will get back into it when I am qualified and have more free time. Maybe. Worth pointing out there a few other gyms in the area which are better equipped, open longer and reasonably priced.

Actually now that the colleges have merged and we are part of the city of Glasgow college instead of just being GCNS on our own we might have access to facilities at the other parts of the campus which might have different opening hours or better equipment. Probably worth looking into.

Not sure if anyone is still reading this but...
I was living in St. Luke's last phase, the pool was open Monday-Thursday from about 5pm-7pm. Only. I used to swim a couple of times a week.
The gym is pretty poor on Riverside and frankly, I can't remember seeing it open. However, the building on Hanover Street has a gym on the 7th floor that I went to two or three times a week religiously. Not a huge amount of equipment, but often me and my housemates were the only people in there. About a 20 minute walk from Riverside.
Alternatively, round up a couple of classmates and start jogging. A few of our class used to run from St. Luke's to the Glasgow Transport Museum and back. Decent run down the riverside walk, takes about 40 minutes (if you're me...) There's a decent sized park (Green Park) just across from the college that's decent for jogging in too.
