Might be a bit early to post this, but I seen someone had posted one for Fleetwood so I figured I might as well put one for COGC. I'm going for a HNC in Engineering (providing I pass my Medical) but I don't think It'll be a problem! Anyone else in?

So far Engine Cadets eh? I'm going for the PD, just waiting to hear back from chosen companies and seeing if I will need to go for another interview. Really excited haha! Hopefully I get to go to Glasgow since I live like 15 minutes from the college But in general I am not too bothered where I will be going!

I know! Browsing around the site it seemed like most aspiring cadets were Deck, obviously not though! I'm really excited too. Do any of you know if I will be made to stay in Catered halls since I'm only 16? Because I've only heard bad things about Catered so I'd rather go Self-Catered! Well done aswell

I have no idea mate. What kinda things do they say? I'm 18 and would rather things were done for me especially food wise! Haha

Well it's nicknamed Alcatraz which can't be a good thing! haha, apparently the standard of food ect aren't good, might just be rumors but I'd be happier cooking for myself anyway.

hahaha the Halls at glasgow r basic to say the least but your only in your room for sleeping the rest of the time if you have any sense about you will be up in Strathclyde Union 'getting to know each other'. the food was ok when i was there 2003, and i knwo a few ones there at the minute, they are saying its not bad but not great. the halls are ok nothing to worry about, take a few posters to brighten up the room a bit........

I'm in, woohoo! Got my medical already and just sent off my offer acceptance, roll on September! Is anyone worrying about about prices of accommodation etc a bit? I heard that catered halls are ?110 a week which, considering we get around ?175 a week, is a huge whack. Congrats everyone and bring on September

Hi, my offer was from CMT which I accepted, have you heard anything back? They were really quick at getting back to me - I had the interview on the Thursday and offer came through on Friday but I know of people who have been waiting anything ranging from an hour right up to months, so I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard anything yet, easier said than done I know! Who have you applied for?

Well done I had my interview in January and still haven't heard anything which is a bit annoying but I guess I will just have to wait like everybody else! I applied for CMT and Maersk

Just have to pass my exams next month and I'll be doing the PD in engineering with clyde. Buzzin for it to say the least!
