Aye got quite a few things through man, acceptance form, disclosure Scotland and bank details for the halls, sent them off today. Just need to get my uniform sorted now, you getting yours from Clyde?

That's what Clyde have told us to get, with White shirt and black shoes. Might just be clyde rules though.

the uniforms has anything but uniform for some years down to what different companies see fit, Certainly CMT seem to follow the idea of a school uniform for college which is kinda correct, its not a ship.

Its a bit like people getting upset if you refer to a cabin as a room, but its fine for warsash to refer to its rooms as Cabins, which is just feckin stupid

Aye think a trip to Burtons will be needed, I was quite surprised by the suit jacket right enough. Is there any specific time we need to turn up at the accommodation on the 12th?

Hey everyone, I'm staring in September on the PD Deck course at Glasgow with Clyde. I'm staying in st lukes across the road from the college. My 3 choices were northern marine, Wilhelmsen and Farstad. Still haven't heard who my sponsor is yet! Gutted about the suits, I thought it was just the NATO jumpers and shirts and ties.

Surely college uniform should be dictated by the college? I see the point about wearing "school uniform" at college, and "merchant navy" uniform on ship, but on the other hand, hard up cadets shouldn't really be expected to fork out for two sets of uniform should they?

The cells at Fleetwood are too small to be dignified with the term "room". And they don't seem to like the term cell... so we setted on 'cabin'.

I still haven't been given a heads up what I need so I may just buy some stuff from the Clyde Uniform division. I was just planning on going for black trousers, tie, pilot shirt and NATO jumper. I only found out last week I was going so I've been a little more preoccupied with paperwork and tying up loose ends at home.

Why do they require your measurements if they're not at least supplying some of the gear aside from boilersuits?
