I am also looking at changing the colour of the admin/mods/coloured groups etc so that they reflect the normal colours.

If you browse a forum then the admins are in red, however, in each topic they are not.

To be honest, I think it would be nicer if people's status wasn't advertised so overtl with these colours (it's company and college ones where it's useful for them to be highlighted I reckon).
Perhaps it would be ok to make everyone the same colour, but just let mods and admins have their status in their signature? "discuss"!

I think it's quite useful in the "who's online" list. Not entirely necessary in the "last post" information or on the post itself.

All I mean is, I don;t like seeing loads of red (not just me) names when visiting the site.
I also don't want people to feel like we think we're more special because our names are in red.

Well to be fair, all forums that I am part of have the mods/admins/supermods etc in different colors in all parts of the forum.

I really dont mind, if the consensus is to remove this feature it can be looked into also.

On that note, I am currently having virus issues and may be looking at updating my laptop, so am not going to be processing anymore updates this week.

"colors"? I think I'm going to assume the role of class spellchecker/pedant!
If MEJG had been made a mod, the site would be green every day - it's only the colours that make it look like it does. If everyone's the same colour, then I think it would be conducive to more variety of posters if everyone was the same colour (apart from the ****ers we have to watch out for!).
