    I have just noticed that the blogs section in board index is huge, would it not be benefitial to create a subforum called "Maritime Blogs" or something, so that this is displayed on the board index, then when clicked brings up all of the blogs.

    Sure! How about a "page" of blog links? or maybe a list down the side?

    I'm not sure if I can be bothered blogging myself, I don't regard forum layout as my "area" of admin.
