Think I've just made a rookie mistake!

Bought plain white shirts out of Burton for phase 1, should this do and CMT will issue me with the correct uniform so epaulettes can fit onto the shirt?

    Hi,

    What College are you at?

At Glasgow pretty much nobody wears epaulettes to College, its not a "normal" thing to do, it may be different at other College's though.

You can buy the Epaulette style shirts from CMT's own uniform website. They did give me two shirts, trousers, white shorts (thank god I have never had to wear them haha) before I went away to sea for the first time. For 60% of us they gave us messed up sizes!

Yea I think I'll be given wrong sizes cause I've lost a lot of weight since I sent away the forms lol, but aslong as I wear the NATO jumper with epaulettes on them it shouldn't matter if I don't have them on my shirt? It's Shetland college I am going to

That should do for the time being, some companies will supply a uniform, others just go with what CMT say/provide. When I was at Glasgow we were suposed to wear uniform (if supplied by the company) or Black Suit/White Shirt/CMT or Company Tie. That may have changed now, mind you.

CMT will likely provide your uniform pretty quickly however unless they have really slipped, and more details will be given in your joining details as too what the college/CMT expect from you.

At Fleetwood they are quiet strict on wearing uniform, especially in Phase 1. No one will know wearing a jumper over but it can get very warm in the class rooms.
