What do cadets do about insurance whilst at sea. I know a lot of you take all sorts of electronic equipment ipads ipods etc etc, how does the insurance thing work? do the company cover you or should you take out extra cover. Any advice would be welcome

Extra cover i'd say! Companies only usually cover PEF if its caused by things like fire or sinking of the ship, and as the name of the game is to prevent that.....

I've been wondering the same thing, but for college too. I'm starting South Tyneside, and I've got some expensive bits of kit i'd rather have insured. Any info on that would be helpful too!

Sometimes your home home insurance covers living away at college/uni in halls, so you could check that if you have home insurance. They tend not to stretch abroad though .

For halls, I used a rival firm to Endsleigh, was a lot cheaper. Found it with google.
