    grab a chemistry book, burn the fuel form the products of combustion work out stoiciometric air and anything else is the excess
    you will get some cardon oxides, sulphur oxides. you know how much o2 is supplied as you know the mas of air and you know it's composition.

    There ya go, grab reeds or similar it's in there

        They should have given the %age composition of air by mass. It's roughly 23% O/77% N, but use the values they give you.

          they dont really need to, you just put a line at the start, assume air is x% y% and any other assumptions you are making, then do the maths from there......

            Marc,

            You have been a member since February and so far your only posts have been 3 threads asking for help with your homework. That's not really why we are here!

            If you had even tried asking for some guidance with it rather than just asking for the answer showing the workings it may have been a little better.
