Accommodation costs and start date

I have been offered a place for the January intake for South Tyneside college and was wondering if anyone knew the cost of on site accommodation costs and also the start date?

Accommodation costs are ?122 a week but it doesn't say if that includes food

When you rock up you'll be expected to shell out ?740.

That includes your accommodation bond (?250) and 4 weeks rent (?490). Your rent (?122.50pw) includes a ?7.50 per day meal allowance. And I suspect the start date will be the 6th, but don't take my word for gospel as I'll only be there for 2 weeks to finish my Phase 1.

Don't forget your own bedding

accomodation is ?490 a month and you get a card which allows you ?7.50 per day for food in the canteen and also the shop. as said above you will have to pay a bond and four weeks in advance. Bring your own bedding as you have to pay to use theirs. As a parent my view is that the blocks are ok ( bed is awful !!) but the rooms are a decent size. There is a common room with TV and kitchen with microwave and kettle etc and this appears to be newly fitted this year as are the toilets and showers. This is only my sons block cant vouch for the others.

I'm also starting South Tyneside in January - I live in South Shields already but I've been asked to move into the halls. Was unsure on the price, Thanks for the info.
