length of college and sea phases

I'm starting my cadetship in January at South Tyneside and Was wondering what the length of college And sea phased are?

5 months college
7 months sea
6 months college
12 months sea
3-4 montgs for SQA/orals prep NAEST courses etc

When you're at sea, do you go for say the 7 months all in one go, or do you get to come home for short periods of time I between?

It depends on your company TBH. In my 7 month sea phase I had a few weeks off before joining my first ship, done 3 and a half months, was home for a month, done another month and a half and then had a few weeks of before going back to college.

I've heard of cadets from other companies who have done 6-7 month trips...... I wouldn't be up for it myself tbh!
