Yep ha I have found that out ! And most offshore companies want unlimited dp tickets and pretty much all companies want experienced officers

Yeh we had guys with vroon & subsea 7 and some other companies. Yeh I believe the setup is that phase one guys go to st. Lukes and the rest up to the other college accommodation on Havanah street.

Some of those other blocks can be quite a bit more expensive than st lukes.

I was told i would have accommodation sorted for me. i arrived on the 6th of jan and nothing was organised and i had to stay with a friend until i secured my own flat.

if i was you, id do it myself.

Because Glasgow College is an almaganation of several colleges, they now have accommodation in several places, so I would assume that they send people to other blocks as well (for example there are a couple just up the high street)

Coastal? So there's offshore companies recruiting in January? Hi, jcwilson91 will do that tomorrow, also I was told that the college managed to secure extra accommodation. Whether that's completely accurate, I am unsure.

also... i started in jan 2011, sitting my oral exams on the 16th dec to hopefully become qualified. I was lucky to get Royal Caribbean, other companies included vroon, willhemsen, zodiac, gulf offshore, carnival and subsea 7.

it really does not matter which company you get, only a few of the guys in our year have made it to the final stages. All from different sponsor companies. It really is down to personal dedication and if the job is right for you.
