Hello all! I've been reading these forums and have found it to be very useful however I was wondering if some of you could top me up with some advice. I've recently dropped out of psychology in Queens Belfast as I've realised that I would rather be working on the seas as a 'deckie'. I intend on applying for NMCI and was wondering if anybody has been here and has some general words of wisdom about it i.e. difficulty getting in.
I also really like the idea of anchor handling (seems a bit more challenging and 'hands-on' than some other sectors?). Is there anything I can do to ensure I stand a good chance of getting a spot in the industry after graduation? And is it difficult to break into?
