British Marine Plc

Hi guys,

I've just found out my sponsoring company is British Marine Plc, I'm with Clyde marine at Fleetwood. I was just wondering if there is anyone who can give me the low down on them, if you have served or still serving with them or know anything about them. Thanks

I know they are part of Britmar Group and own bulkers. Thats all I've got though.

We had a guy in our class who was with them ! He seemed quite happy with them and got offered a job at the end of his cadetship.

That's encouraging, I'd heard that they only employed Indians.

A guy in my class is with them. From what he said most of the officers are Indian.

Be pushy for sea time as he was left sitting at home for 5 months in his first sea phase which was only 7 months long due to fact they couldn't get them on a ship. I think he said they have a small fleet 7 or 8 bulkers.
