  • Hep A & B cost

I don't suppose anyone knows if surgeries in England charge for Hep A & B. My doctors back home only charged me for Yellow Fever, but I'm not sure if they charge up here in Fleetwood, even the receptionist didn't know.

    Cheers,
    My Regards,

    George.

    Cheers,
Hep a is normally free. Hep b is a course of three with a blood test at the end to see if you are immune. You will normally have to pay for this but some NHS trusts will give it for free. It depends on your area.
    hope this helps

      Cheers,

The local Fleetwood Broadway Medical Centre will not charge you they which will charge Chiltern Maritime which I am pretty sure is your company from reading other threads. And you should expense that Yellow Fever cost. The broadway medical centre is used to doing vaccinations with cadets and have many companies who they charge direct.

        Thanks Charley,

I did wonder if they would have a set up like that in place. And don't worry I've already claimed the yellow fever costs with my other medical claims.

        Cheers

Doesn't your sponsor take care of this?

As such we are required to sort it out ourselves and bill the company after. I know Clyde had a big vaccine day the other week, though I don't know of any others to sort it to that level.

So you need to go and organise the appt. yourself and mention that you will need to fill out a temporary patient form its a5 size and blue. Explain to the receptionist which jabs you need so it might be useful to take your vaccs certificate when you book your appt. Once you have made the appt. inform Abby in the office.

Then you go get stuck in the arm and the nurse will invoice Chiltern. It's also polite to inform Abby that you have been stuck and email an up to date copy of your vaccs certificate.
