Started as Junior 3rd Mate on P&O in 2011 and was taking home ?23,445 p.a. annualised hours etc etc. Not bad, but not great!

P&O (Carnival) third officer salary has gone up, not by a huge amount but enough to be competitive with the likes of the container companies. Contracts are now 12 weeks on 6 weeks off with a choice of twelve weeks on twelve weeks off with a lower salary.
