  • Tricks of the trade!

Hi all, Im due to join my ship, MV Noble Ace in a few days, and I have finished all my packing for my first trip to sea. My case is overpacked, due to not know what will really be essentials or not, anyway my question is: Has anyone got any items they usually take to sea that could be deemed "un-obvious" or have new uses created by a crewmember?

Its hard to put into words what I mean, but does anyone catch my drift?

Not really no, what do you mean?
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

There is a kit list on here somewhere, you should be able to find it using the search function. It has pretty much all the essentials on there.

      Have a good trip.
      Go out, do stuff

Your a sailor now, don't beat around the bush, just blurt it out.

Anyway, cadets always pack far more then they actually need.

Don't know your ship or company. But if its likely to have a Uk crew/officers a handful of newspapers and magazines from home is usually appreciated(and if you got a long flight will give you something to read).
