Clyde Marine uniform - question about suit jacket/blazer

I received a CMT badge to sew onto the jacket pocket and it is about 3x3 inches, however, pretty much every suit jacket I can see online has some piddly small pocket. Kind of looks like the badge won't fit on, or will look stupid etc

What kind of jacket are you guys buying, a "school style" blazer, or a proper suit jacket?

I don't want to order until I know 100% that it's the correct thing to buy... So could someone upload a picture of what they bought, or a link to a similar thing please?

If this question makes no sense, please say so, and I shall try to reword.

Strictly speaking it should be a school type blazer with a "patch" type breast pocket, though lots of people seem to wear normal suit jackets.

I literally wore mine on day one and then stuck to the Nato jumper as I felt much more comfortable in it, plus the suit jacket made me feel like I was back in school again. If your anything like me you won't be wanting to be spending a lot of money on something that you wear once.

Most people I saw at college just bought suit jackets. Nobody really wore their blazers/suit jackets after the first 2/3 weeks though, NATO jumpers are much better.

and again the stardards slip......used to be a time when a cadet without a jacket would be reported to thier company for not being properly dressed.....now no one cares....

I've had the same rant at WMA about how everyone was graded satisfactory in regards to uniform standards when certain students didn't realise that a shirt has a top button and quite a few couldn't figure out how to work an iron

That said, my novelty Christmas tie fortnight wasn't reported to the company... nor my workshop festive welding antlers

I got "average" every time. Our Course leader just marked everyone that way. Made no difference in what they showed up in...
