Well got my ENG1 medical this Weds, any hints/ideas what is actually involved?

Weight, height and blood pressure recorded. Breathing tested, eyesight test and you have to give a urine sample to test for nutrients and sugars! Just remember to drink plenty of water before your appointment

Depends on where your getting yours done. I had a port of Fujairah medical done and I even had to have a quick psychological evaluation!I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

Well just an update, sent the RFA a copy of the test.. only to call them today.. they had received it but hadnt phoned me back :S
Basically I have been told that I have to visit Portsmouth twice, and thats before they will accept me for employment.
Firstly for a SECOND ENG1, and second for an audiology review!!

Well the guy today was going on and on about how it is all for my own good and safety.. and all I was thinking was.. I wish it was the old days, where health and safety was thrown out the window.. I wanna get on with it, iv dedicated 6months of my life to this and I have a feeling that even after these two reviews I will be told nicely to "**** off"

Elfin Safety all about insurance, civil serpent jobs, and ritualised buck passing.
The current RFA recruitment process is just preposterous, out of control... they need to just put people out of their misery a lot quicker.
I think it's not so much the RFA people themselves, as the MoD desk jockeys that guard the gates, and need to make as big a deal of their jobs as possible lest they get found out and redundified!Emeritus Admin & Founding MemberComment
