  • pockets on pilot shirts

I'm about to buy my uniform and was just wondering the pockets on pilot shirts are for.

I think they look a bit daft, I can't imagine carrying around my electricians screwdriver in the top pocket etc.

I'm thinking of going down the pocket less route - Comments?

I think shirts in general just come with pockets.... Its the nature of a shirt

Chances of you wearing this shirt as your off Sparky'ing things? Minimal. Your more likely to spend most of your time wearing Boilersuits.....

Double thickness of material over your nipples.

Also useful for pens and scraps of paper when doing bridge or office work.

the top flap bit is a handy place to hang your name tag for the cruisers amongst you, for everyone else, they make a handy place to store polo's Or hang your sunnies you know in approved "top gun" style, one leg in the pocket the lenses facing out over

I hadn't thought of the topgun sunglasses aspect, I guess I'll only be wearing it in the passenger areas, boiler suit the rest of the time.

I'll be tossing a coin in the shop today.

                              LOL.

When i was at uni i stacked shelves P/T in Tesco. Tearing off pockets was the done thing, not so funny when half of the shirt rips out with the pocket though. The more torn off pockets you had collected the more of a man you were.
