All but one applications sent!

Hi guys,

I've applied to SSTG, CMT, Princess and I have one last thing to sort out for my application to carnival. I sent my SSTG app about a week ago now, so not holding out hope for any contact from them, as I understand they're usually pretty quick if they want you.

I was wondering about CMT, which I applied for three days ago. It says on their website after the app that it can be up to four weeks for a response. Can anyone who's had contact from CMT tell me how long they waited? Also do CMT contact you to let you know if you've NOT been successful enough to interview?

The timings of how long it takes companies to get back to you will vary depending on the time of year, how close to the deadline it is, how many other applications they are dealing with and a host of other factors, so there is no “standard” time for them to get back to you.

I certainly wouldn’t dismiss SSTG after not hearing from them within a week. Most of the companies will have been busy sorting cadets out how have just started college and will have just started to look at applications for January 2015 now so don’t panic if you don’t hear anything too soon.

Most companies don’t contact you to say that you have been unsuccessful as they simply get far too many applications to do that.

@Taze, I recieved acknowledgement from CMT within a couple of days. I've also applied to most of the big companies, but as I have really been looking to start in September 2015 I'm not expecting many responses any time soon. Saying that I would be expecting to hear from carnival some time after the 24th October as that's the closing date for September 2015 intake.

Good luck guys! I am with Clyde and have loved it so far (In my fourth week of Phase 1 at Warsash). If you pass the interview you will have a lot of forms to fill in, then there is the wait, luckily I only had to wait 1.5 months! Nothing more from Clyde yet. It's only been just over a week but I'm eager to get the ball rolling! Anyone else heard anything yet?
