I've been invited to attend a face to face interview at the Isle of man next month with BP. The email states that the interview will be a behavioral based interview.... with no previous experience of this type of interview, I'm wondering if anyone here has had such an interview with BP? Is it literally going to be all about behaviors/situations you've been in, or do the same standard interview questions also come up?

I had my F2F last week, I think it went well but forgot to ask when I should expect a response.
The email containing cadet core competencies mentioned about contacting them within 2 weeks but I'm interested in anyone else's experience.

Many thanks for your update. I should hear in the next few days then (Deckie)
Glad to hear your interview went well, wish you all the best of luck.
We've done well considering there were 600+ applicants.

I'm about a year ahead of any of you currently having face to face interviews with BP.
The idea behind the behaviour interview is that the way you have dealt with things in the past will give some idea how you will approach situations in the future. I remember getting some info from BP on this technique. It was definitely worthwhile looking through that email and trying to identify where I could give examples of the qualities they were looking for. I can't remember exactly the questions they asked me, but my only advice would be to emphasise your strengths. Use 'I' more than 'We' in your answers.
Once all the interviews had been completed I found out quite quickly that they would like to offer me a place, but that it would only be confirmed after obtaining my US Visa and passing a BP Medical (which is also for an ENG1). In the end I found out with 3 weeks notice which college I was finally going to.
