Sponsors Requirements

Hello! I just wanted to ask a quick question about the sponsor companies requirements. I currently have a conditional offer from Clyde Marine and I don't know my sponsor yet. Are applicants assigned to certain companies based on academic achievements? Skills? Background, Experience? I'd be really interested to find out.

As far as I am aware, the sponsor companies get to pick who they want from all the available applicants and the applicants get to pick preferences from all of the available companies and the Clyde try to match them all up with the sponsor companies wishes taking preference.

Ok that makes sense. It's just a shame that Clyde don't tell you which sponsor company you have until the course start date.
