Hi there,

I got offered a engineering side interview with SSTG in rochester, does anyone have a word of advice for me ? i have been preparing for it by learning everything on their website and via google.
Also a few weeks ago i had a interview with CMT but they rejected me, is it a good idea to phone up and ask why?

hello mate, don't panic at all - the interview is quite relaxed and casual (okay mine was for deck). Great that you're researching all of the companies, as that will hold you in good stead. As long as you can get across your passion for the merchant navy and engineering, you should sail through it without any turbulence.

Yeah thanks, it went well, i got offered a place with Paccship (must go for a 2nd interview with them) and with OOCL (no 2nd interview). The problem i have now is choosing which is better for me, has anyone got any experience with either ? I have searched the forum but i haven't found much unfortunately..

I have heard many great things about OOCL - a massive container shipping company, haven't heard as much about Pacship. I would personally go for OOCL with what I know, and the fact that there's no second interview. All the best to you mate
