Looks okay, I'm no expert but you've only got the science btech to really do with the cadet ship, but you should get the required UCAS! If I was you I'd try get some hobbies or clubs under your belt to to make you more employable, because you may not stand against a person with science and maths A levels but you can in other ways like leadership, interest in your applied cadetship etc

what GCSE's do you have? You might be able to start applying for the HND route, I was going for the FD but this was something I really wanted to do for many years so I recently started studying on the HND, it doesnt give you as much of a back-up plan if it does all go wrong, but if you're dedicated enough to the course then it's something to look at

could easily get into HND on that mate, use ALL of your experience in the interview, chiltern are a VERY good company in my experience (other companies are available), always picking up new sponsors, send me a PM if I can help at all (recently had my succesful interview with them)Good luck mate

you can get that with other companies mate. Im with Technip, through chiltern maritime who operate offshore, which is ideal for me as it opens up a range of jobs. but Technip have asked Chiltern to pt me on a different ship type for my 2nd phase of training so I could be on anything from a superyacht to a supertanker before the offshore construction vessels in phase 4I'm studying at warsash

What I would say is that if you go with Clyde you generally don't get told exactly what company will sponsor you until the day you start college. You'll be allowed to state 3 preferences but might not even get one of those! So you could choose a couple of cargo companies and a passenger one and get put on offshore anyway! There are a few good companies though Clyde like but no guarantee you will get placed with them.
I would recommend you apply to as many companies as possible to give yourself the best chance of success. Just work through all of these... http://www.careersatsea.org/apply/sp..._companies.php
Another point to consider is that the January intake is generally smaller and not as many companies take people on for it, so there will probably a smaller choice of companies.
