Technip now take on Cadets though Chiltern Maritime. They are a large company and I assume will be taking on a few more cadets next summer!

I got my place today after an interview yesterday.

Technip are a massive offshore company , really good opportunity. I'd imagine you'll get a job at the end.

Yeah they're a huge company (though more known for project/ subsea work in the oil and gas sector than for their marine interest) .... they have some boats of their own but charter a lot more.... worked for them a lot when my vessels have been chartered as 'third party boats, i.e we drive, they pay and we both co-ordinate to get the work done'. I believe a lot of their marine crew are from India although there are a few Brits too... project crew are a mixed bag, the big office is in Paris but they are huge globally, offices in Norway, UK, Brazil and so on... Bobafinga is on it!

Good luck... can imagine it's going to be some interesting work... cable laying/ construction and so on... a project guy (ex MN) I worked with who worked for them reckoned their cadets did okay...
