Second interview - Calmac

Have a second interview with Calmac comin up, anyone shine any light on what I should expect?

Also anyone do there cadetship with them? How are they?

I had the same thing it was a bit odd. It wasn't entirely clear it was an interview more like an induction. Basically go to northern Marines offices in clyde bank. Watch a presentation from Calmac and Northern Marine. Have some sensible questions prepared ( don't ask about money or holidays etc). Dress smart shirt and tie and you'll be fine.

They are great to do cadetship with for a number of reasons:
They actually come to college every couple of months to find out how your doing
You get a good mix of ships RoRo Pax with calmac and tankers with NMM
Should get 1 or 2 dangerous cargo endorsements by end of your cadetship
On ferry all officers and crew are British know what your going through training-wise and are very keen to help
Calmac ships mostly don't sail at night so plenty of time ashore in some remote and interesting parts of Scotland
Food on ferry is ace although far to much (4 course lunches)
